Bergdorf Goodman: Prismatic
Spring is just a breath away and nothing conveys the promise of New York’s burst of daffodils, tulips and cherry blossoms like a rush of color on Fifth Avenue.
Always fascinated by the patterns and colored emitted from light traveling through a prism, David Hoey and team commissioned artist Sean Slaney to create a hand-cut, hand-stencilled backdrop for our latest Fifth Avenue windows. Inspired by Spring’s bold color fields, floral and color-blocked looks from Dries Van Noten, Akris, Marc Jacobs, Stella McCartney and more dance and flirt before a tumble of intricate and whimsical illustrations like strutting burlesque stars, pensive unicorns fretting robots, lipstick tubes and coiling floral blooms. It’s just the sort of palette to get us in the mood for spring.
